Members of the Border Counties Vintage Club have confirmed that their annual Steam and Country Show at Vauxhall Fields, Monmouth, will take place again this year on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May.
A collectable and vintage auction (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) car boot sale will take place all day on the Saturday (see details below), with a dog show and tug of war taking place on the Sunday.
Show organiser, Ian Harper. “We will also have a large number of vintage vehicles on display from all over the country, including steam engines, military vehicles, cars, commercials, and motor bikes, vintage caravans, and the welcome return of the Belgium organs “Rhapsody” and “Victory”. We will have a number of interesting trade stands and auto jumble.”
Other attractions throughout the weekend include displays of model vehicles, bygone craft demonstrations, wool spinning, horse log pulling, and fairground rides. The event will be fun for the entire family, with children’s games and rides for the younger members, and a bar for the adults. Catering is available, although families are encouraged to bring picnics and enjoy a leisurely day enjoying the fabulous location and attraction, along with the support of the public confirmed Mr Harper. “As well as the commercial benefits of bringing visitors into Monmouth, the Show has raised a significant amount of money for local charities”.
The Show is open from 10.00am – 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday and entry is £6 for adults, £5 for concessions, £3 children 12-16 and FREE under 12.
