The Annual Garden Festival at Hellens Manor, Much Marcle, Nr Ledbury takes place on the second weekend of June and a feast of gardening riches is assured. Celebrity plantswoman, Carol Klein, will be at Hellens hosting the Friday evening preview reception – tickets on sale now via the website www.thegardenfestival.co.uk

The beautiful, romantic and tranquil setting of the manor gardens will come alive with exhibits of plants and flowers, specialist nurseries, horticultural accessories and garden Objet d’art. The marques will be spread with a feast of delicious local food and drink, and creative gift producers and makers of all things gardening. Artisan demonstrators, using time-honoured methods and skills, will create and display their wares throughout the gardens.

This weekend of gardening delight will offer visitors the opportunity to attend and engage in talks on a whole variety of gardening, medicinal, botanical, countryside, and ecological topics. And, to fully appreciate and enjoy Hellens Gardens, Head Gardener David Maddison will be leading tours of the Hellens gardens each day.

Visitors will experience the variety of Hellens gardening features and woodland, including a knot garden, labyrinth, rare octagonal dovecote, as they explore the Festival. Children will be delighted and entranced to discover the many interactive activities and experiences on offer including storytelling, clay model making, puppetry and amphibians!

A Garden Library will be created in the gardens framed by a stunning timber structure that has been built by Heritage Oak Frames Ltd. Poet Adam Horovitch has been commissioned to compose a poem responding to the magical Hellens Gardens and will read this, and other works, in the Garden Library during the Festival. The Garden Library will feature creative responses from a number of writers and artists, and provide calm and inspiration throughout the weekend.

Tickets for the Festival on the gate £6.50 per adult, £2.50 per child, family day ticket, £15.0, and NEW for this year, a WEEKEND adult ticket is £10, child £4.0, and a family ticket for £22.50 [2 adults and 2 children]
