Racing at traditional river regattas is a great way of testing your crews while also savouring the summer festival spirit. The halcyon days of the Gloucester-Bristol-Ross regatta triple on August bank holiday may have passed but, along with Gloucester, we have filled the gap left when the Bristol event dropped from the calendar. Each year, over the August Bank Holiday, the Ross Regatta brings boat crews and spectators from all over the country. Last year’s Ross Regatta attracted almost 1,000 competitors aged from 11 to 77 competing in 140 events.
“It’s almost a last hurrah before the start of the dreaded head season.”
Ollie Surgess, Commercial Director, said: “Everything is ready for another bumper day. Not many people now this is the second largest event in the rowing world just on your doorstep. One down from Henley Royal Regatta.
This event has been running for many years, come along and have some family fun and support your local clubs. This year we will have evening entertainment.”
