This is the third year of Ross Christmas Fayre in its current form, and we look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to our lovely town.
Stalls selling a selection of Christmas items, gifts and food will line High Street and St Mary’s Street up to the Royal Hotel. We are delighted that the marvellous X-entricity Youth Theatre Group will be running a Father Christmas Grotto within the Royal Hotel.
Children can visit Father Christmas from 11am until 3.30pm. We will have several adorable miniature donkeys 12pm-4pm who would love for you to come say hello and pose for festive photos. Hill Top Birds of Prey will be bringing some of their beautiful owls too. The Ross Town Band will be playing festive tunes from 2pm under the Market House and we will be welcoming Allegra Ladies Choir to sing carols with us all before the Lights Switch on which will be at 4pm. The Lights will be turned on from the balcony of the Market House by the competition winners accompanied by the Mayor.
If you would like to enter the competition which is open to all ages please create on an A4 sized piece of paper artwork that represents “Ross on Wye at Christmas”. The competition is run in conjunction with the Ross Gazette and entries can be hand delivered from 1st – 13th November into their offices on Broad Street in Ross (all entrants must write their name age and contact details on the back to be judged and take part in relevant publicity).
The Fayre committee are grateful to the Ross Community First Responders who will be keeping everyone safe and well on the day and thank the Ross Lions for their donation to enable this. We also thank the Royal Hotel, the Phoenix Theatre, Ermin Plant Hire, and the Ross Hoteliers Association for their continued support.
