The Monmouthshire group of the Hardy Plant Society meets in Usk as it is centrally located. The group is open to those, of all ages and levels of experience, who would like to share their enjoyment of plants and gardening with other like-minded people. The group organises programmes of talks and garden visits. It attracts members not only from Usk but from across Monmouthshire and its neighbouring counties.
Our next talk is on Saturday 14th October when Jane Lindsay, of the award-winning Tynings Climbers nursery near Bristol, will be speaking about Passiflora/Passion Flowers as well as some of other recommended climbers for gardens in this area.
Usk Centenary Hall (NP15 1LH) is at the rear of the Memorial Hall car park, opposite the prison, with free parking. Members £3, visitors £5, incl. refreshments and also the opportunity to buy members’ home grown plants at a reasonable price.
