Up to 30 small businesses that specialise in producing hand crafted products, all local to the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas, will be all together under 1 roof to display and sell their beautiful creations! The market is being held at the wonderful Speech House on Thursday 7th November 2019 6-9pm and we would love to see you there.
As it is Christmas, we are really feeling the spirit of the season; working to support and raise awareness for Heart Heroes. A small local Gloucestershire based charity that does amazing work with families of children and young people who are living with congenital heart disease and other heart conditions (charity number: 1183079). Money is being raised from sale of stalls, collections on the evening and a raffle, to which every stall holder is donating an amazing hand made gift!
Heart Heroes is run solely by volunteers providing emotional well-being support to be able to deal with the stresses and daily routine that comes with having a child with a heart condition. Together we can make that difference.
‘As a parent of a heart hero, days out are sometimes often quite isolating and lonely and its lovely to be part of the group. The volunteers are amazing and so approachable, friendly and it was so helpful to be able to pop to the toilet etc and the kids be watched. My kids had the most amazing day making lots of new friends. having a base was great as my heart warrior tires easily so we were able to sit relax and rest for a bit. Having an opportunity to chat with other heart mums is so important and we were able to catch up with some families we haven’t seen for some time and a couple of families we have met through the hospital. Thank you so much for providing us with this amazing opportunity!’
