In April we will be celebrating an important anniversary – the 40th Anniversary of the twinning relationship between Ross-on-Wye and Condé-sur-Noireau in Normandy, France.
The twinning weekend – 27th to 30th April – will see a series of commemorative events including an art exhibition and a tree planting.
The artistic communities of Ross and Condé have been forging links and, as part of our special weekend, Made in Ross are delighted to be able to host an exhibition of art by 7 artists who live and work in Condé-sur-Noireau. Featuring a selection of work including oil paintings, mosaics, drawings and small sculptures, the exhibition runs for the whole of the weekend in the upstairs gallery in the Market House in the centre of Ross-on-Wye. The exhibition is free and open daily from 10am to 4pm. Catch it while you can!
To celebrate this significant anniversary, the Ross/Condé twinning association are also donating two trees – one for Ross and the other for Condé. The Ross tree will be planted during the twinning weekend in Dean Hill Park.
