Film: Renoir- Revered and Reviled

The artist Renoir is inextricably linked with the Impressionists, but a fascinating new film from Exhibitions on Screen focuses on how he broke with the movement he helped to create and changed direction. This film, which can be seen at Chepstow’s Drill Hall on February 24, is a fresh new biography of this artistic giant but more than that it uncovers a rarely told story that places Renoir as a critical link between the old and the new.

Chepstow Racecourse Music Nights

We’ve recently launched our two Music Nights for this season. On Saturday 21st May Will Young joins us live after racing. On Friday 10th June we will be joined by legendary soul band Simply Red. Saturday 27th February is our new Winter Ladies Day, also featuring live music.

Usk Open Gardens June 2016

This year’s Usk Open Gardens is June 25th and 26th 2016. Around 20 private gardens will be opening and a number of volunteer groups provide refreshments. There will be a gardener’s market too.

Garden passports (with maps) will be for sale at the car park kiosks and Twyn square.
