In conjunction with The National Trust and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty River Festival there will be a display of poetry by Marchant Barron, an award winning creative writing student from Bath Spa University. The poems will be displayed on banners, floating in the trees, and will be freely accessible to anyone visiting the Kymin during the hours of daylight.
The installation will run from May 5th to May 20th.
Marchant’s previous poetry installation was on the seasonal Silk Wood trail at Westonbirt Arboretum and was featured on BBC Autumnwatch.
“Trees are my solace. Trees speak to me, they speak to us. Just being with a tree sparks my poetry, their stillness ripens my words.” Marchant Barron
