Show time at the Forest Showcase – Sunday 5 October

TFood is always the perfect excuse to get people together and this year’s Forest Showcase looks set to be the biggest and best yet. Taking place in the grounds of the Speech House Hotel on Sunday 5 October, this food lovers festival brings together all of the gastronomic attractions of the Forest of Dean.

Featuring over 70 local producers, alongside cookery demonstrations, workshops, music and entertainment the showcase is the must attend foodie event of the region.

Martin Adams, head chef at Tudor Farmhouse Hotel, will be pulling in the crowds again this year with some mouth-watering cookery demonstrations of a selection of his seasonal dishes. Using an array of local produce he wowed visitors last year with his slow cooked pork jowl, smoked bacon, bubble and squeak served with poached apple and cider sauce.

Tudor Farmhouse Hotel are also launching a quintessentially English ‘pop up’ tea room at the event, presenting a selection of tasty treats from their sublime afternoon tea menu. From dainty finger sandwiches to clotted cream laden scones, there will be cakes galore to enjoy beneath the tea rooms bunting. Served alongside one of their featured varieties of loose leaf tea or an indulgent glass of champagne, the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel tea room offers a fun and relaxed venue to catch up with friends and family.
